1. Check Your Fate Fragment Collection
In total, you need three specific Fate fragments:
Deadly Fate (from Bahlak, The Sky Seer)
Cowardly Fate (from Uxmal, The Beastlord)
Victorious Fate (from Chetza, The Feathered Plague)
Make sure you have all three. Without the full set, you can’t access the Trialmaster fight.
If you’re missing one, keep running the Trial of Chaos or trade with other players.
2. Store Your Victorious Fate Safely
Place it in a clearly marked stash tab reserved for precious fragments and keys.
Don’t accidentally vendor or discard it, as this would force you to farm for it again.
3. Prepare for the Trialmaster Unlock
When you’ve collected Victorious, Deadly, and Cowardly Fate fragments, head back to the 10th round (final room) of the Trial of Chaos.
At the end, look for the locked gateway requiring all three fragments.
4. Insert the Fragments
Interact with the gateway/door and insert your three Fates.
This unlocks access to the Trialmaster’s lair—one of the toughest and most rewarding boss fights in PoE 2.
5. Get Ready for the Fight
Optimize your build for high single-target damage, layered defenses, and movement—Trialmaster is a complex and punishing fight.
You may want to review boss mechanics and potential loot to strategize your approach.
Bring flasks, skill gems, and gear tailored for the encounter.
6. Alternative Option: Trading
If you end up with duplicate Victorious Fates before you complete your set, consider trading your extra fragment with other players who might need it.
The Fate fragments tend to hold good barter value due to the random nature of drops.
7. Enjoy the Rewards
After beating the Trialmaster, you’ll unlock your 4th ascendancy point and access powerful boss loot, including unique items and high-value gear.
Keep your Victorious Fate safe, collect the full trio of Fates, and unlock the Trialmaster for top-tier rewards and progression. If you get extras, use them for trades. Patience and preparation will turn this rare fragment into a gateway for one of the most satisfying fights and upgrades in PoE 2.
